ABAC's Second Meeting for 2009 held

On May 12, the secord meeting of ABAC was held in the Captial City of Darussalam, Brunei. Mr. Zhang Lijun, ABAC China representative and Chairman of China APEC Development Council, sent his staffer to attend the meeting.

In the first day, ABAC representatives showed approval of the opposition to trade protectionsim on G20 Summit and the decision for warning about business security. In the following three days, the meeting also discussed a wide range of topics.

At this meeting, Mr. Zhang Lijun submitted a proposal of “Develop Promotion of APEC Business Travel Card and Business Facilitation Services” to the meeting. The proposal has been widely recoginized at the meeting. The proposal was mentioned by Group Leader Nick Reilly at the conclusion of the group discussion and was writthen into his working report. At the same time, the proposal will play an active role in facilitating the APEC economic and trade cooperation, promoting the implementation of business facilitation, enhancing the ablities of dealing with the economic crisis and resist trade protectionism.
